it's pant season....

...and my pants don't fit! d'oh....everyday i'm starting to see the changes in my body. it feels like everyday baby is a little bit bigger (and i feel a little bit fatter, or as i call it, heffer like). as excited as i am, this part can't be easy for anyone! i had finally found the balance with my weight and baby just has to go and screw it all up :)

14 week belly bump and jerry-rigging my favorite jeans to fit

i had been sick for quite a while (and for those i made plans with that didn't go thru i'm sorry!) and it was starting to feel like the cold that never ended. three weeks, a few sleepless nights (humidifier included), and a week long headache, i finally went in to see my regular doctor. by that time my entire face hurt and i'm not even sure how i managed to work thru that. a sinus infection! i've never in my life even had one of those before. 10 days of antibiotics and some nose spray and wah-lah, i'm feeling myself again. and better yet, hardly any nausea! i'm soooooo glad to be back to normal, or, as normal as i can be.

on thrusday baby bambin will be 15 weeks. i'm super excited to see baby next friday at our second appointment with dr. kav, she's truly rad. it's kinda funny to bring pee in baggie every time you go into the dr. haha.

not much else has happened with my being sick for so long (and poor hubs of course caught my bug, luckily his wasn't quite as long, he also never got a day off and worked a race weekend). i don't think i've ever been so thankful for my husband. once we found the balance (and my crazy hormones died down a notch) everythings been great. he's super helpful, he took care of me the entire time i was sick, he lets me get away with silly cravings like tropical sherbet, hearts of palm, blackberry shakes, jamba juice, and cheese pizza. i think i've managed to put a few pounds on him ;) but mostly, i'm thankful for how hard he works for our little family. working full time, and sometimes more than that if there is a race (where he often travels too, and this year i've gone to 5-6) and trying his hardest to remodel the bathroom, kitchen, office/nursery and build me a art workshop/storage for all my paintings and supplies. there is much to do in not so much time. i know he feels the time crunch because he wants to make sure i'm comfortable and able to nest when it's time and that just melts me heart. i feel so special.

on our way to covelo, we stopped in hopland for some blackberry shakes, it was 79 and raining. it just stood out there, enjoying the rain ( i heart the rain)

the other night he took me to dinner (which we are trying not to do= save money) to satisfy a craving...(cajun clucks and fries...) and i wanted to walk around the mall before we went home (and showered not at home...but i'll explain that a bit later) i realllllly wanted to go inside the new burlington at newpark. for the first time we looked at baby stuff together :) it was totally awesome and exciting and fun. we sat in rocking chairs and talked about the stuff we liked and strollers (i, of course, have already been looking at bedding and themes and nursery stuff). it was a special moment for us. then the store closed and i bought him a mrs fields cookie. haha. well, i got one too.

the remodel has been coming along. he's been taking off mondays to do pieces at a time. luckily, we have ryan to help as much as he has, we sure do owe him. last week they completely removed all the walls, tile, vanity, and even the tub (our one and only bathroom). the poor boys (jamie d included) worked in 100 degree weather (no sc in this old timer house) for about 12 hours. unfortunately, the sub flooring was rotted out from termites more than B had hoped, which required almost 1/2 of the floor to be replaced...therefore...there was no time for the new tub, or the shower, or even the plumbing to be finished. AKA we, for a week, had to shower elsewhere at night before bed. let me tell you, showering before bed blows! as for the termites, well, tomorrow they get blasted with some orange stuff, earth friendly :)

rustic cabin style bare bones bathroom. ahaha. at least we had a toilet!!

and today is monday, poor B has a huge stye in his eye, ryan is sick, and they manage to finish the plumbing, run a wire from the bathroom into the kitchen for the water in our fannnncy new fridge, ANNNND set the tub! hurray! i soo look forward to my first shower in the new tub tomorrow. actually...i've had this pinched nerve in my back for a few days (i think its the dang futon that needs to be replaced into a couch but we have to find a cheap couch...) and i just might use it after this blog.

neeeew soaker tub! plastic tile walls will do for now. alas, a shower should never be taken for granted!

sadly, but in light of new beginnings, the truck, his baby, the one we met in, has left our premises but never our hearts. i never realized how big the driveway actually was.....

i guess alot more happened than i thought. everything is happening. :)
